With a brand-new office opening in Darlington, the firm is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor who is ready to take on a leadership role, develop a strong local presence and play a key part in the firm's continued growth across County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire.

The firm has an established track record of success across its existing markets and is now looking to build on that success through its expansion into Darlington and the surrounding areas. You will take ownership of developing the Family Law offering, establishing relationships across the local market and creating a strong foundation for future growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development and growth of the Family Law department in the new Darlington office.
• Managing your own varied caseload of family law matters.
• Building and developing a team as the department expands.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts across Darlington, Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire.
• Identifying opportunities to grow the department and develop new business.
• Helping shape the future direction of the firm's Family Law offering.
• Providing excellent client care and clear, practical legal advice throughout often sensitive matters.

About You

We are keen to hear from a qualified Family Solicitor who is ambitious, commercially minded and ready for a challenge.

• At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in Family Law.
• A strong grounding in family law matters and the confidence to manage your own caseload.
• The ambition to develop your career beyond fee earning and into leadership.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with an interest in building a team and developing a department.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The drive to develop new business and establish a strong presence in the local market.

Previous experience in a senior or leadership position would be beneficial, but the firm is particularly interested in someone with the ability, ambition and drive to grow into the role.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary in the region of £50,000–£70,000, depending on experience.
